Community Service for English class

I currently have two students working on their community service assignment for English class. The two girls are busy putting teen stickers on all the teen fiction, including the hardcover and paperbacks. They have also shelved a few books. The girls are doing a great job. It is great these girls are able to help me at the library! If you need to complete your community service project, stop by and ask for Kristi. I will get you started!

Teen Advisory Board

On Thursday November 9, five girls showed up for the Teen Advisory Board organizational meeting. It was a great meeting and I was very impressed with the enthusiasm and ideas. I have already implemented one of the ideas. One of the girls suggested the newly returned books should be closer to the teen fiction. Last Saturday Kim and I put up new shelving! The newly returned books are now located by the teen magazines.

The next meeting is November 30 at 7:00 pm. I hope others hear about the group and come to the meeting. We want lots of ideas and lots of helpers! At this meeting we will be electing a president, vice president, and secretary and decorating the teen area for Christmas! I will also provide some great holiday treats! Come join the fun and let your voice be heard!
